Produced for the first time this season (2009/2010), Selezione Storica Ercole Olivario 2010 differs from the traditional Selezione Speciale Olive Oil. The key difference lies in the use of a crop of Biancolilla olives which are grown at higher altitudes and give the Oil a more intense and fruity flavour. The quality of the Oil has been recognized with a First Prize in the category of Medium Fruity Olive Oil at the prestigious Ercole Olivario competition. The Oil has a complex fruity taste with a slight peppery finish. Can be used on all seafood dishes, on bread, bruschetta, vegetable soup. Recommended on couscous and on preparation of desserts.
